Huckabee is Not a Saint

UPDATE: The Huffington Post has information on how Huckabee released a convicted rapist from prison. Despite letters from the rapist's victims to stop his release, Huckabee and right winger Clinton-haters, pushed for the rapist's freedom. Read the Huffington Post and see what has been found. Is this why Huckabee has sealed the papers from his time as governor in Arkansas???????

Republican candidate for President, Mike Huckabee, should not be considered a nice man. His past behavior might be a good indication of his future behavior. Here are some examples that were easy to find on the web:

1. Arkansas Times: In an effort to payback the newspaper for their investigative reporting about then Gov. Huckabee's behavior in office, Huckabee's office would no longer provide press services to the Arkansas Times.

2. CNN:
...The Republican governor (Huckabee) himself has not been immune to the investigation-happy climate, as questions have arisen about who contributed to a fund to subsidize his state salary with $60,000 in speaking fees while he was lieutenant governor.

Huckabee has refused to disclose who the donors were and will not release to the attorney general information gathered through a taxpayer supported hotline set up to allow residents to report abuses in government.

3. Politico: Mike Huckabee apparently had some ethical problems. Here are some excerpts:

.....Allegations by a former governor’s mansion employee in 1998 became part of the basis for a lawsuit against Huckabee over his family’s use of a $60,000-a-year fund. The lawsuit also dealt with Huckabee’s assertion that $70,000 worth of furniture donated to the governor's mansion was his to keep.

The fund had been used to pay for pizza, a doghouse, a magazine subscription and pantyhose for Huckabee’s wife, Janet, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.....

.... Before leaving office Jan. 9, Huckabee spent $13,000 in state funds to destroy the hard drives of nearly 100 computers in the governor’s office.....
