Monday's Notes

* Stimulus money is putting people back to work in Pennsylvania, according to Philly.com. A closed battery plant in New Castle, Pennsylvania, has reopened to manufacture "greener" batteries.

* Why is Mark Sanford still the Governor of South Carolina? The DigitalJournal has this:
According to the South Carolina Ethics Commission, they will probe into new claims that Gov. Sanford did not report private flights. Attorney General Henry McMaster requested commissioners to look into launching a new investigation.

An investigation could conclude that Sanford violated state law and would be grounds for impeachment. As Patrick McMahon of Digital Journal reported, South Carolina Republican State Senator David Thomas has called for the impeachment of Gov. Sanford....

Why are South Carolina's voters allowing this guy to escape impeachment?

* Looks like diversity training is in the future for city workers in Springfield, Illinois, after nooses were found at facilities. The Chicago Tribune has the full story.

* The Washington Post has a "POTUS TRACKER" to follow the amount of time President Obama spends on issues/problems. I'd like to see a side by side comparison of President Obama's schedule with that of President George W. Bush. Wouldn't that be fun?
