With staggering losses in recent elections, and the defection of a high profile U.S. Senator, the Republicans Party's "core beliefs" are not jiving with a large majority of the American people. Will other Republicans leave the party of "NO!" in the future? Only time will tell.
For a long time, Republican leaders have derided the RINOs (Republican In Name Only) in their party. They've isolated them and denied them access to political funds because they did not follow the strict, ultra-conservative line. America is multi-cultural, with many different religions, and traditions. We are a nation of immigrants, although Republicans have forgotten that. While the Democratic Party has welcomed all people of different backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles, the Republicans want only strong believers in their dogma.
Will the Republican Party go the way of the Studebaker and the Edsel? Only time will tell.
