....State lawmakers were expected to begin debating a bill on Tuesday that would increase the number of calamity days for Ohio school districts.
Expanding the number of calamity days would provide relief for many districts -- including many in central Ohio -- that have already exhausted their three-day allotment, 10TV's Shayla Reaves reported.
Prior to this year, districts were allowed five calamity days, but that number was reduced to three under former Gov. Ted Strickland....
Gov. Strickland's plan was to increase instructional days. Kasich, who seems more influenced by the demands of his daughters, doesn't understand how the use of calamity days disrupts learning.
