2 A special prosecutor looking into alleged wrongdoing in the Franklin County Municipal Clerk of Court’s office said he expects to present a case involving at least two suspects to a grand jury shortly. Delaware County Prosecutor David A. Yost declined yesterday to further discuss the case or possible charges. Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, a Republican, and Columbus City Attorney Richard C. Pfeiffer Jr., a Democrat, asked Yost to step in on the politically sensitive case.
On Tuesday, Municipal Court Clerk Michael A. Pirik, a Republican appointed to the job in 2004, is up for election against challenger Lori Tyack, a Democrat. http://www.dispatch.com
