4 More Years of Bush Policies????

I'm not sure that the American people really want a continuation of the policies, philosophy, the war, and poor economic development that we've had with George W. Bush. In essence, that is exactly what we'd get with John McCain in the White House.

The Chief Source website helped remind me of how John McCain voted on some important issues:

....McCain voted against $100 million to help prevent unintended and teen pregnancies in 2005; the funds would have paid for family planning services and teenage pregnancy prevention programs.....

....John McCain has agreed with and reinforced President Bush's failed abstinence-only sex education programs by opposing legislation that would require lessons to be medically accurate and scientifically-based. Over a billion dollars has been spent on abstinence-only programs under Bush's watch....

  • Q: "What about grants for sex education in the United States? Should they include instructions about using contraceptives? Or should it be Bush's policy, which is just abstinence?
  • Senator McCain: (Long pause) "Ahhh. I think I support the president's policy."
  • Q: "So no contraception, no counseling on contraception. Just abstinence. Do you think contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV?"
  • Senator McCain: (Long pause) "You've stumped me."
