Feel great about the economy? Thank Bush-McCain!

** John McCain who hasn't had a fresh idea in decades, suddenly says, "Change is coming." Yeah. You bet. If you vote for McCain-Palin, here are some changes you'll get including ----- they will tax your health insurance benefits, our troops will stay in Iraq for another 8 years, ten billion dollars per month will continue to be spent in Iraq, universal health will be a distant memory because McCain is against it, McCain will cut social security because it costs too much, and health care will be rationed for our military vets (only those deemed "worthy" by McCain will actually get medical treatment).

* The whiners over at the McCain campaign said that NBC and MSNBC are too partisan. Cry babies.

* McCain has had at least 133 lobbyists working for his campaign (Link).

* The U.S. economy is a huge mess. Here are a few statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:
Mass Layoffs (Monthly)

August 22, 2008

In July, employers took 1,512 mass layoff actions, resulting in 151,171 unemployment insurance filings, seasonally adjusted. Mass layoff events decreased by 131 and associated initial claims decreased by 14,526 from the prior month. Year-to-date layoff figures in 2008 were the highest January-July totals since 2003.

Extended Mass Layoffs (Quarterly)

August 15, 2008

In the second quarter of 2008, 1,534 extended mass layoff events resulted in the separation of 299,886 workers. Both layoff events and separations reached their highest second quarter levels since 2003. Layoffs due to slack work more than doubled over the year to 40,300 separations, and changes in business ownership more than quadrupled to 16,852.....

The Republicans, including George W. Bush and John McCain, have created these horrible economic situations for Americans. The Republicans, including Bush and McCain, have contributed to the foreclosure mess, the huge unemployment disaster, and the huge increase in the national deficit. Still, Bush and McCain refuse to take responsibility for the lack of initiative.

According to Barack Obama, our economy is weaker today than any other time since the Great Depression because of Bush, McCain, and the Republicans.

If we want to get our economy out of the deep hole that McCain and Bush have created, we must vote for Obama and Biden.
