Battles in the Senate/Deaths in Iraq

The Brad Blog has a real eye-opener: Ohio's favorite corruption Republican Representative, Bob Ney, has ties to Diebold and the Ohio Election Fraud.

The Senate hearings for Sam Alito will probably focus on three topics: privacy, the limits of presidential power, and the rights of a woman to choose. There will be some great interaction between the senators and the nominee. I just hope that someone asks one of those questions that makes everyone squirm.
Update on the hearings: Senator Orin Hatch (R-Utah) is an arrogant man. Hatch needs to retire.
Loved that Senator Feingold! As the senator said, Alito still holds and continues to make money on those Vanguard holdings.
Senator Schumer did a great job trying to get Alito to answer if he would overturn precedent as far as Roe v. Wade. Alito of course would not give a direct answer.

More of our young people have died in Iraq. As I look over their names, hometowns, and ages, I am reminded that this administration still has no exit strategy. Using phrases like "stay the course" and "until victory is achieved" doesn't get our kids back home. http://icasualties.org/oif/

I was watching a CSPAN rebroadcast of a town meeting in Virginia. The featured speakers were Rep. John Murtha and Rep. Moran. One young man said that he had been in the first group that went into Iraq. He said that he shared body armor with his commanding officer because there wasn't enough for everyone. Is this how this administration sent our kids to war?
