Looks like Sen. Rick Santorum (PA-R) is scaring off a lot of women with his views and politics. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Santorum had invited 3,000 women to a special conference, but only 90 attended and they weren't impressed. Obviously, Santorum's draconian views aren't bringing women voters to his campaign.
If you can't get a job, it must mean you are not related to Republican Rep. Curt Weldon. According to the Harpers, Weldon's relatives are gaining jobs and government contracts.
Republican Rep. Jean Schmidt made some interesting comments lately. According to the Enquirer:
Congresswoman Jean Schmidt, R-Miami Township, said in one of her rare debates that local Ford workers are being laid off because the plants were making four-cylinder transmissions when the market wanted seven-cylinder transmissions.
The Ford Motor Co. Web site lists 70 models of Fords, Jaguars, Mercurys, Lincolns, Land Rovers and Mazdas - but not one seven-cylinder transmission....
Florida Republican Katherine Harris is running for U.S. Senate and her poll numbers are poor (27%).
Jack Abramoff's second favorite Congressman, Bob Ney (OH-R) is still raising campaign money. Ney is still being investigated because of his ties to Abramoff.
