According to the Huffington Post, Sen. John McCain and his wife own 8 houses. Holy cow! That is pretty elitist! No wonder he has no sympathy for regular Moms and Dads who are losing their homes! He just can't understand what it is like to not be able to make house payments and feed the kids.
After checking through OpenSecrets.org, it appears that Sen. McCain was worth between $27,000,000 and $45,000,000 in 2006 and was the 8th richest U.S. Senator. (See Open Secrets: Personal Financial Disclosure Reports of 2006.) Has McCain released his tax returns yet? McCain and his wife are very wealthy and own a lot of property and investments. I think that makes him an elitist.
