***If you are a "baby boomer" you certainly will remember TV's Mr. Wizard. Don Herbert, Mr. Wizard, has passed away.
NPR:
Television's "Mr. Wizard," Don Herbert, who taught generations of children about science, died at his Southern California home Tuesday. He was 89.

From 1951 through 1964, Watch Mr. Wizard delighted young viewers with the joys of science on a set built like a simple workshop...

***Is Fred Thompson the "anointed one" for Republican conservatives? Raw Story has uncovered some recent additions to Thompson's campaign (even though he is not a declared candidate).
Raw Story:
FRED THOMPSON IS adding more big-name policy talent as his testing-the-waters committee continues to grow into a real presidential campaign. Among the new additions: Mark Esper, national security adviser to former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist; Joel Shin, a top policy staffer on Bush-Cheney 2000; and Elizabeth Cheney, a former top official in the State Department's Near East and South Asia department....

***All over Ohio, people are probably offering prayers for LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Columbus Dispatch:
...The Spurs took a 3-0 series lead in a game that tied for the second lowest-scoring in Finals history. Cavaliers forward LeBron James had a chance to tie the score but missed a fadeaway three-pointer as time expired. He wanted a foul call on Bruce Bowen, but it didn't come....

....Cleveland will try to avoid a sweep Thursday in Game 4, but no team has ever won a championship series after losing its first three games.
"Everybody has to still believe," James said. "You know, it's the first to four games but we dug ourselves a big hole now. … We can't live on history."

James had 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, but it wasn't enough. Sasha Pavlovic and Drew Gooden scored 13 apiece....

One of my kids is going to the Cavs game in Cleveland on Thursday. I may give her a rosary to carry with her to the game.

*****Oh, my. On the Today Show they are discussing a new diet pill. Some of the side effects include loose stools and oily discharge if the dieter eats high fat foods while on the diet medication. That should be enough to keep a dieter away from fatty foods!
