Reality

Here is the headline from page 3 of the Columbus Dispatch:
Bush will bring summit a kinder, gentler agenda

Unfortunately, protests will greet Bush when he arrives in Germany for the G-8 summit. According to the Boston Globe:

Violence erupted yesterday in this port city as radicals wearing hoods and bandanas broke from a peaceful antiglobalization protest and attacked police with sticks, bottles, and Molotov cocktails ahead of this week's summit of leading industrialized nations.

Authorities said 146 police officers were injured, 25 of them seriously; 78 demonstrators were arrested or taken into temporary custody.

About 14,000 police officers lined the streets and harbor, helicopters skimmed overhead, and boats patrolled the waters in one of Germany's tightest security operations since the end of the Cold War....

This picture, taken by Michael Probst/Associated Press, was also in the Globe---

A demonstrator ran from a burning car yesterday during clashes that broke out with police during a protest against the upcoming G-8 summit outside Rostock, Germany.

Do you remember the days when the United States and its President were loved and respected in the world community? That all changed with Bush as President.
