* I'm am very surprised about the uproar from some Catholics about the planned commencement speech by President Barack Obama at Notre Dame. While I'd bet you that he won't mention the word abortion even once, some Notre Dame supporters think it is inappropriate for President Obama to speak at the Catholic school because of his support for a woman's right to control her own body. Personally, if the President were going to speak at my commencement, I'd be thrilled. He is an excellent speaker and very inspirational. For more on this, check out USA Today.
* The Republicans are hoping that former Vice President Dick Cheney keeps a lower profile. Every single time he speaks, people are reminded of the failures of the last administration.
* The President has offered to hear any suggestions about the budget. Unfortunately, the Republicans haven't provided any suggestions other than to bash the President's plan. The Republicans are like the empty tin can--- making noise, with an absence of content.
