As of this date, it appears as though the Republicans are content to have Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich as their leaders. According to what I've seen on TV, Gingrich spoke for nearly and hour in front of contributors at a recent fundraiser. From the excerpts I watched on TV, Newt's speech appeared to be a real yawner. He still seems to be living in the 90's. Gingrich's marital woes might actually make him an unattractive presidential candidate. With three marriages and two divorces, Gingrich is not a man that I would seek to lead this country.
Limbaugh, on the other hand, has his own issues. He can pontificate from the safety of his broadcasting studio without fear, but he rarely ventures out into the public except into friendly right wing fundraisers. With his baggage, it is amazing that GOPers are so in love with him.
