Taking Notice

* Gov. Mark Sanford, Republican of South Carolina, has probably seen his future in politics disappear. Sanford took a few days off and went off somewhere. Why? Where? We don't know. The fact that he just walked away from his family, his elected office, and his responsibilities, seems a little frightening.

* I watched President Obama's press conference today. We can safely assume that he is NOT taking advice from Senators Graham and McCain. I was impressed by how he stood there, and remained cool, calm, and collected as the press pushed through their questions.

* Republican State Sen. Jon Husted seems to have all his priorities confused. According to the Dayton Daily News, Husted is suddenly concerned that libraries across the state would lose some funding under Gov. Strickland's proposed cuts. Just a few days ago, the Dayton Daily News reported that Husted was upset that college internships were losing funding. Give me a break. Things are tough right now. Cuts, unfortunately, must be made, and we must all learn to do with a little less. The Dayton Daily News appears to be part of the Husted public relations department.
