Waiting and Watching

With so many things happening in the news, it is hard to keep up with so many events----

* When will the Minnesota Supreme Court rule on the U.S. Senate race between DFL candidate Al Franken and GOPer Norm Coleman? Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaase!!! We need Franken in the Senate ASAP. Coleman, on the other hand, just needs to go away.

* Judge Sonia Sotomayor has been meeting and greeting Senators this week. I hope her vote comes soon because we need her on the Supreme Court.

* How can the people of Oklahoma not hide their heads in shame every single time Sen. James Inhofe opens his mouth? I know that there are smart people in Oklahoma, but why do they keep electing Inhofe???????

* Gov. Sarah Palin is such an awful speaker. I saw a clip of the speech she gave when Michael Reagan visited her state. She just butchered it.

* If you missed Stephen Colbert's show in Iraq last night, you might still be able to catch it online or reruns. Colbert's new hair cut is a classic.

* Why are some Republicans against science, technology, and math coordination? Do they want our young people to grow up stupid and uneducated??? In a recent vote (Roll Call Vote 312) on H.R. 1709 (from Thomas: Title: To establish a committee under the National Science and Technology Council with the responsibility to coordinate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education activities and programs of all Federal agencies, and for other purposes.), 39 Republicans voted against the bill!!!! I know you are wondering which Republicans voted against H.R. 1709? I'm so glad you asked!

Many of these same House Republicans just vote "NO" on everything. Do they even think about the vote or do they just follow the commands of their leader Boehner?

By the way, have you contacted your member of the House and your Senators regarding health care? This might be a good time to write them a letter or e-mail and let them know your views.
