The headline said, "McCain Basks in ex-Dem Lieberman Support." Sen. Joe Lieberman, who was once a real Democrat, has gone off the deep end. Now he is "endorsing" Republican Sen. John McCain for president. Who cares? When I saw McCain and Lieberman together I was reminded of that 1993 movie called Grumpy Old Men. Only this time, instead of Matthau and Lemmon as the lead actors, we see McCain and Lieberman.
The problem with McCain, Lieberman, and the rest of the Republicans is that they have forgotten that our country is not composed of only old white guys. They are clueless about what is really going on and how people feel about the war, energy prices, the failures of this current administration, and the housing market.
If John McCain wants to "bask" that is okay. Sooner or later McCain will realize that Lieberman's "endorsement" is meaningless.
