> Some recent votes in the House of Representatives makes you wonder why some Republicans even bother to show up. Do they just hate children?
Office of the Clerk HR2517 (Protecting Our Children Comes First Act) Roll Vote 1132: Those who voted against the bill: Paul Broun (R-GA-10th), Jeff Flake (R-AZ-6th), Ron Paul (R-TX-14).
Office of the Clerk HR 3791 (Securing Adolescents From Exploitation-Online Act) Roll Vote 1131: Those who voted against the bill: Paul Broun (R-GA-10th), Ron Paul (R-TX-14).
Why would someone vote against such important issues?
> I saw Republican candidate Mike Huckabee on the Today Show this morning. He did not adequately address the fact that he allowed a rapist, Wayne Dumond, to go free, despite the fact that the rape victims begged in letters to keep him locked up. Huckabee lied and said that previous Arkansas governors, Tucker and Clinton, were responsible. If Huckabee claims to be such a religious man, why won't he tell the truth? Why didn't he mention that Wayne Dumond, who Huckabee released, went on to rape and murder others after he left prison? Why didn't he mention that one of the early rape victims was a distant cousins to Bill Clinton? Why didn't he mention that the Clinton-haters in Arkansas sought to discredit the rape victim and Huckabee allowed it to happen?
I hope that the people in Iowa examine this case a little closer (see item # 1.) Huckabee just comes off as dirty.
