Republicans Are At It Again!

> Anyone see Iowa's Republican Senator Chuck Grassley's Mr. Roger's look on C-SPAN? Nice sweater vest, Chuck. Are these Republicans losing it?

>Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo is an extreme right wing twit. He wants to penalize people who help illegal immigrants. If you offer help, food, medical attention, etc. to an illegal immigrant, you could be arrested. Tancredo is the same guy who wanted to bomb Mecca. Is Tancredo an example of the best and brightest in the Colorado Republican Party? If this bill is passed, would churches have their entire congregations arrested because they fed the poor?

>Maureen Dowd's recent column was quite interesting. If one of us screwed up at work, we'd be fired. However, if you are a member of the current administration and you mess up, you get to keep your job. Read Dowd's column here.

>Tom Noe's activities are playing into Ohio's politics, according to the Toledo Blade. Here is an excerpt:
Nearly a year after scandal erupted at the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Tom Noe is everywhere.

Flip through the most recent copy of the Ohio Turnpike's annual report, he is there.
Walk through the office of the Ohio Board of Regents, and Mr. Noe's portrait hangs in the board room. There are three other pictures of him in a hallway, smiling and surrounded by his fellow regents.
The former Toledo-area coin dealer and GOP fund-raiser pops up in court regularly to defend himself. Mr. Noe, who resigned last year from the regents and the Turnpike Commission, is accused of stealing from the $50 million rare-coin investment he managed for the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. He also faces federal charges of illegally funneling $45,400 to President Bush's re-election campaign...

>Kenneth Blackwell, Republican candidate for Ohio governor, is against all abortions----even if the life of the mother is at risk. I wonder if he'd feel the same way if his wife or daughter were in a similar situation?
