Biden's Working Class Roots

Sen. Joe Biden's biography looks like something that a lot of people will understand. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden's parents had to leave Scranton in the 1950's because his father could not find work. However, as Biden said, "Scanton never leaves you." Biden, according to the Scranton Times, is no stranger in Scranton, especially at Hank's Hoagies.

According to an interview in the Scranton Times, over the years, Biden has returned to Scranton while he was growing up. Many in Scranton regard him as a hometown kid.

Both Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden offer a real contrast with the affluent lifestyle of the McCains. Neither Obama or Biden own 7 or 8 or 10 homes. Obama and Biden do not own their own private jet, like the McCains. Obama and Biden have had rough beginnings as kids with families that struggled to put food on the table. McCain grew up in an affluent family.

If Americans can't decide who to vote for, they just must remember that Obama and Biden know and share their working class beginnings.

McCain's father was an admiral and McCain grew up with servants. McCain left his first wife after she had an accident that left her disfigured. While still legally married to his first wife, McCain moved in with Cindy Hensley. Before he was legally divorced from his first wife, McCain applied for a marriage license to marry Cindy. Not only does the McCain lifestyle seem so distant from regular working class people, the McCains have not been part of the "family values" that Republicans claim is important to them.

By the way, McCain thinks that women are going to flock to his side because Hillary Clinton is not the nominee. McCain is crazy to think that American women would vote for a man who is against women's reproductive freedom and against equality for women in the work place. If women want to turn back the clock on women's rights to the 1890's, McCain, would be their candidate. Here is a You Tube video in which McCain talks about equal pay for women:
