Karl Rove

Just when you thought you had enough to worry about, Karl Rove gets a special job! I found this at http://www.democraticunderground.com/ and they found it at http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/15/politics/15bush.html the New York Times. Here is the important paragraph:

'Republicans said Karl Rove, the White House deputy chief of staff and Mr. Bush's chief political adviser, was in charge of the reconstruction effort, which reaches across many agencies of government and includes the direct involvement of Alphonso R. Jackson, secretary of housing and urban development.'

I think that will get a few people mad. Our country is about to begin a massive reconstruction of the gulf coast and a political hack gets the job to oversee the effort. I just have a few questions: Is he qualified? Does he have a record of being fair and honest in his dealings with other people?

I guess if a former Arabian horse office clerk is qualified to lead FEMA, then Karl Rove must be qualified to head a reconstruction effort worth billions of dollars.
