You know when you hear those phrases from politicians that the economy is growing and you wonder where the hell they get their information? The new Ohio unemployment rates are out today and it doesn't look so good.
"Ohio's unemployment rate was 5.9 percent in August, up from 5.7 percent in July, according to data released this morning by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Who do we have to thank for this increase in unemployment? There are several individuals and groups who are responsible for this growth in unemployment: Gov. Bob Taft (the golfing, incompetent governor), The Ohio Republican Party (doing their part to make sure their contributors get the contracts, and doing nothing to increase employment), Rep. Deborah Pryce (15th district-OH, and Tom DeLay's understudy, pal, and big friend of banks, insurance companies, and security firms).
