Ohio GOP's Best Buddy: Tom Noe

I really have to give credit to The Toledo Blade for their outstanding investigative reporting on Ohio's Coingate scandal. Here are a few sections of the article: http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050929/DEVELOPINGNEWS/50929031
'Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro presented evidence today of how Tom Noe stole from the state’s $50 million rare coin funds.

'According to a filing with the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Mr. Noe bilked the two coin funds established by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation through a variety of methods, including check forgery.'

The Ohio GOP has been making statements in the newspapers saying things like "not that much money was lost" and "the workers' comp. program is in good financial standing." Blah. Blah. Blah. The truth of the matter is that the Ohio GOP is corrupt and they invested money with political contributors instead of good, solid reliable firms. With the unfolding of the scandals involving national GOP politicians (DeLay, Frist, Brownie, Ney (Ohio), Blunt, and others), we here in Ohio can honestly say, "Been there." It is shameful that the GOP has become so greedy and corrupt. They could have accomplished so much if they had not been so concerned with lining their own pockets.
