Contracts, Ney, and Leaks

If you know someone in the GOP leadership and you've contributed to their campaign, you can get a contract! Someone is starting to investigate some of the no-bid contracts. http://pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/trib/newssummary/s_385960.html
Some Democrats are calling for Ney to resign. http://www.daytondailynews.com/localnews/content/localnews/daily/1020ney.html

Rep. Bob Ney, friend of Tom DeLay and Jack Abramoff, said he had to hire lawyers because of some false accusations. http://www.wcpo.com/news/2005/local/10/19/oh_ney.html

The leaks about the CIA leak case now have some additional stuff about Libby and Rove:

Here is an excerpt:
'Top White House aides Karl Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby discussed their contacts with reporters about an undercover CIA officer in the days before her identity was published, the first known intersection between two central figures in the criminal leak investigation...'

'Rove and Libby have emerged as central figures in Fitzgerald's investigation because both had contacts with reporters who ultimately disclosed Plame's work for the CIA. Federal law prohibits government officials from knowingly disclosing the identity of intelligence operatives...'

Hopefully, the CIA leak case will be resolved soon with indictments or reports. Someone broke the law, and someone will need to pay for that.
