I just checked http://www.opensecrets.org and I found out a few things about Jerry Kilgore, empty-headed GOP candidate for governor in Virginia. Kilgore contributed $250 to the Oliver North campaign on 11/3/94. Kilgore must have believed that Oliver North agreed with him politically to contribute money to him.

Karl Rove was scheduled to speak at a fundraiser for Kilgore, but Rove had to cancel. Rove, who has appeared four times in front of Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald investigating the CIA lead case, must have had more pressing issues (scheduling conflict?).
