Republicans still cheerleaders for war

While we are spending billions of dollars to rebuild Iraq, our cities and small towns on the gulf coast are left to wait for help. Meanwhile the republicans keep cheering the president and his war on terror. Reps. Dennis Hasstert, Roy Blunt (when will he get indicted?), David Dreier, and Deborah Pryce complimented the president's leadership. http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=54664 Baloney. He is not doing anything that any other president would have done except he started an illegal and unjustified war in Iraq. Bush gave his 24th speech this year on the topic of the war on terror. And again he linked 9/11 and the war in Iraq!

The Middletown Journal (Ohio) urged Ohio lawmakers to return money they received from Tom DeLay:

"Democrats are calling on Reps. Mike Turner, Jean Schmidt and others to return campaign cash received from resigned Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas...".
"Neither Turner nor Schmidt plans to return the money..."
"According to the Democratic campaign committee, seven Ohio members of Congress have received a total of $103,309 from DeLay since 1993, including Reps. Steve Chabot, R-Cincinnati; Patrick Tiberi, R-Columbus; Steven LaTourette, R-Cleveland; Deborah Pryce, R-Columbus; and Bob Ney, R-St. Clairsville."

The republican culture of corruption continues. The war in Iraq continues. More of our young people are dead or maimed in Bush's war. http://icasualties.org/oif/
